The Sri Lanka Airport & Aviation Academy, formerly known as the Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC), is the training arm of the Civil Aviation Training Division, a division of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Pvt) Ltd., the fully state owned company vested with the responsibility of managing all civil airports in Sri Lanka and providing air navigation services within the Colombo, Flight Information Region (FIR).

     We are the premier aviation training institution in Sri Lanka, situated at Kandawala Road, a residential sector in the industrial suburb of Ratmalana, close to the Colombo city airport.

What we offer

     Our courses include all the standard programmes required for the training of personnel in the provision of airport services and air navigation services. All our courses are open for international/regional participation. In addition, we also have a lineup of non-aviation and general programmes for the Sri Lankan industrial sector.

     Our resource personnel are predominantly drawn from among the qualified, experienced and trained personnel in our company’s services and are supplemented by external resource personnel drawn from the airlines, local universities, regulatory bodies and professional institutions.
